Red-Headed Woodpecker

I have been watching him/her in the yard for a
couple of weeks and finally got one picture
from 60' away (not very
good quality). Males and females
are the same colors. That is a
pecan in his/her mouth.

    1. Hi Cyndy..thanks for stopping by...well... I am not as busy as I should be. I was going to get a lot done today..my husband went to Green Cove for a military meeting...and it is almost 4:00 and haven't sewed a stitch...and he will be home around 6:00. I'm also busy with the garden. We grow and freeze about 60% of the veggies we eat all year and that can be time consuming. The yellow squash, zucchini, spinach, rutabaga will be gone in a couple weeks and then the tomatoes, bell pepper, and carrots start getting ripe and the okra produces until fall.
I think I remember something you posted last year about swimming with the manatees...you visited near you. My daughter lives in Tallahassee and I think the kids ( ages 5 and 3) would like it..I told her that I would check with you. If you think of anything, please let me know.

      Have a good week

  4. Hello Maxie
beautiful picture of the woodpecker. We had one hanging upside down on our hummingbird feeder yesterday, seems every time they are close enough to get a good shot I do not have my camera, then they play with me and I can't get a picture LOL
