I made these hearts from corduroy, which has a tiny sparkle

in the fabric...they are about 10" tall

He was eating nuts and after he picked them up he would

lift his head to swallow them. Click on the picture for

Backyard Visitor

Not a good day for taking pictures..no sun and hazy..

definitely had to do photo editing. This Pileated Woodpecker

(grows up to 19"-this is a male)was very coorperative and gave me lots of

pictures while he was eating pecans. I took these photos from my craftroom

window - about 35 feet from him.  This is the best time of the year for bird

watching, since there are no leaves on the trees. We do not know where they

nest but there are always little ones once a year.
