This is a rooster that we have made and sold over 100. My husband makes the body, legs, wings, head, and feet and I dress him in overalls and flannel shirt that I buy at the thrift store and he gets an ear of corn stuffed in his pocket. When we first started making them we put a stick of RedMan tobacco in his pocket, but it would disappear at craft shows, so we stopped including it. He stands about 3 feet tall. We started making these about 5 years ago.

Old Hutch
I talked my neighbor out of this old hutch several years ago - love the weathered, paint flaking finish. It was sitting outside under his carport and on one side most of the paint is gone due to weather and the other has most of the paint, but still crackled and flaking paint. The doors are long gone, but the hinges are still there. I keep my pottery here and a few antiques. The top is where I keep my candles and tarts safe from inquisitive 2 cats and a ferret. I found the chair at a yard sale, paintd it red, then painted it Antique White and finished with a crackle finish and painted some apples across the back. I also made an apple cushion that I use sometimes.
I made these stockings a couple of weeks ago from an old man's red and white stripe cotton shirt and a piece of white with red stripe flannel, which I tea stained. I then stuffed in the top some Christmas greenery, pip berries, Santa, the longer ones have a snowman and santa, and a primitive candy cane that I made. I also added some rusty items, bells, stars hearts. The stockings range in size from 17" to 25". I made lots of candy canes - tea/coffee stained and brushed with cinnamon - smells so good. If anyone is intrested in purchasing a stocking please email me at primsandannies@bellsouth.net I will email you some better pictures and payment is through Paypal. Thanks to all for stopping by my blog.

Finished dols
I finally finished the little Andys and Annies - all 38. I know that if I don't go ahead and make all them at one time that I will never go back to make more. Also I finished some little 9" Annies - the pattern is from You Are Special. And last I finished a couple bag holders - My favorite is the one with the black background with cherries and the black and white dot top. I have bought some more fabric with larger cherries on a black backgroung that I will also be making for craft shows in the Fall. Spring has arrived in South Georgia - daffodills have finished blooming - japanese magnolias are in full bloom, so are the crabapple trees and ornamental pear trees.. We will be in the garden planting vegetables next month. Well, it's on to my next project - don't know what that will be yet. If you are intrested in purchasing anything just email me and I can send you some better pictures and invoice thru Paypal. Until my next posting, take care, and enjoy this wonderful spring weather. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Annie VacuumCover
Hello to everyone from South Georgia. What a beautiful day we had today - temperature was 72. We have started working in the yard, trimming shrubs, putting out pine straw around flower beds. Spring is just around the corner, but I am not jumping into Spring just yet. There will be a few more cold days. Last year we planted our garden early (late march) and then the floods came and washed away all the seeds-- okra, squash, red potatoes, beans -- and we ended up planting the garden twice. This year we are going to wait until mid to late April. We were also able to get a few things (birdhouses - churches - barns) stained today.
I have been working on another Raggedy Ann Vacuum Cover. I listed it today on Ebay - the number is 320499017124 - I have included a 12" annie and an annie pin that I made - my user name is primsandannies04. If you get a chance check it out - I have listed it with many photos. I like to leave the hair a little on the long side and if desired, it can be cut shorter. I have done really well on Ebay with these - they are really time consuming - it is 53 inches long and has about 4 yards of fabric. I am making them from homespun - using some of the fabric I bought at Walmart before they closed the fabric department. I am also finishing up 17 little 7" annies - I have already made the Andy's. These are always good sellers at craft shows.
